Hardware

The BT-350 is a stand-alone Android Smart Glass where apps are installed directly to the controller. The BT-35E is a Smart Glass that includes an interface box to display content from an existing external device to the glasses.

USB Type-C™ is for image input, outputting sensor/camera data of headset, and power supply.

Micro USB is for power input from AC adapter.

The BT-35E screen resolution is HD (1280 × 720 pixel)

Camera, accelerometer, gyro, compass, and ambient light sensor are built in the headset.

No. It does not have an auto-focus function.

Please connect Windows® PC and BT-35E with USB Type-C™ to C cable and use Windows® standard camera API. The Developer's Guide is coming soon.

The software on the connected device must support this camera switching function. To support the BT-35E camera, application software should be developed using either the Windows® API from Microsoft or Moverio SDK which Epson will provide on this site.

This is managed by the application software on the connected device through the USB Type-C™ connection. The software must be compliant to the UVC1.0 standard.

No. When the sensor control is being used with one app, it can't be used with another.

Yes. To calibrate the sensors, draw the infinity sign when it is image-input from a host device.

Follow the instructions below to save the calibration data.

  1. Keep BT-35E charging with USB micro B cable.
  2. Draw the infinity sign when it is image-input from a host device.
  3. Remove the image-input cable, 'No Signal' will be displayed on BT-35E.

The power supply of the device will be temporarily cut off, if you remove the USB microB when it is used as a power feed unit. The sensors will be deactivated. Please reconfigure the settings of the connected device if it is necessary.

Development

You can develop apps with Windows® standard API. The recommended development environment is Visual Studio. The Developer's Guide is coming soon.

Unique functions

Yes, it supports a side-by-side 3D format which contains the left and right side images in one frame. But it doesn’t support the 3D format of HDMI.

The background should be set to black (RGB intensity should be zero).

Material of the glass part of BT-35E (light guide plate), we use the plastic (cyclo olefin polymer (COP) resin) instead of a glass.
